Just Be is back on Get Physical, and we’re very proud to have him! This time he serves up a very delicious portion of deep & deeper house! ‘After The Storm (Up Mix)’ busts open with bright percussion, paying the way for a long build up filled with effective ambient elements to set the perfect mood. It all comes together when a rhythmic synth creeps up on us, setting our night on fire. As we said, deep and deeper house, the ‘Deep Mix’ is a heavy blend of bass tones and solid groove. Set in what you could call a ‘dreamier’ soundscape, the track is late night personified, building up to the break, and then Just Be lets loose the moment that will define your evening. The B-side boasts ‘Out Of The System’, another percussion wonder, with a thin bass to build your House upon. A bit more tech-house than deep house, but fitting nonetheless; energetic, infectious, and another proof of Just Be’s skill.

Berlin native Tom Clark and Canadian Noah Pred join forces on Get Physical for their new venture – False Image. The duo delivers the stunning, deep EP, ‘Wild Kingdom’ to shake up dancefloors everywhere. ‘Ocelot’ utilizes a nearly funky array of sounds to convey the groove, all laid out over a sexy rhythm. The bassline pushes the track up and down as a sine & LFO take their turn stealing the spotlight and adding depth. The track has a sweaty feel to it, like the damp dark club floors it calls home. The B side, ‘Anteater’ is a bass groove with an almost jazz inspired percussion on top. The boys show their intentions with almost sporadic synthwork, creating a tense energy. The mixing is very masterfully executed, a sign that False Image are on the right track.

Fabio Giannelli made his first EP appearance on Get Physical with ‘Let The Spirit Sing’, a two track smasher, one of which was the summer mini hit, ‘Maintain’. The track flew up the charts and hung on for quite a while, and in that time M.A.N.D.Y. and Just Be have been hard at work creating their own versions. M.A.N.D.Y. have been bringing more and more to the plate lately, and their studio time with friends like Jimmy Vallance has been paying off. With huge tracks like ‘Twisted Sister’ and ‘Full Off 12’, the boys are getting into a very nice groove, one they continue to ride here. They exhibit an inspiring percussion and various sounds as they open a can of bass on the floor. This is the moment when you close your eyes and move your feet. Another strong mix from the boys, and a very strong addition to the release. Though its base is power percussion, Just Be’s remix reflects a lighter side – with pads and relaxed chords taking the center stage. The vocals come out for an appearance and the remix takes a turn for the deep end, wrapping the track up, and the EP, very nicely and leaving us satisfied after the journey.
