Last month LOPAZZ & Casio Casino blew us away with their beautifully crafted ‘I Feel Love – Pt. 1’ and its heavy remixes from Thugfucker, Tuff City Kids and Tomas Barfod. Well, the fun doesn’t end there – we’ve got more from Gus Gus, Galen, Willis Haltom & Higher Concept and another Tuff City Kids remix for you! First, LOPAZZ revisits the original and adds another level of energy and thicken the vibe in this version, setting the stage for the remixes to follow. Opening with piano chords and an ethereal feel, the Gus Gus remix inspires existentialistic thought and sets the mood with a down-tempo after-hour burner. Galen from Sunset in San Francisco takes inspiration direct from the source, opting for deep electronic vibes and retro lines. His remix works on many different levels and will bring any diverse crowd to their feet. Willis Haltom & Higher Concept from Asylum Honolulu deliver a groovy mix of chords and bass. The percussion drives the track here, pushing the envelope a little further and the energy a little higher. Rounding off the package with Tuff City Kids and their ‘Beatdown Mix’. The percussion is front and center as the Kids’ play with their synths over a groovy bass line. The ‘Beatdown Mix’ is a bare bones approach to their previous mix on Part 1.

‘Warung’ is the first single release, and the first taste of what Vidis has been cooking up for the past few months. An album ‘Silence Please’ is set for a release very soon, but first we thought we would give you something to chew on until then. “The name of the track goes after the famous Brazilian club, ‘Warung’. We played there at the end of June, 2012. The track was freshly made and we didn’t have a name for it. It worked so well on the main floor and on the huge sound system of this mega club that we played it two times and afterward decided to name the track ‘Warung’. Good dance floor tracks and good party memories go well together!” ‘Warung’ is an uneasy mix of sinister bass buzz and kick stomp. Various synth elements add to the malevolent ambience, and then the groove hits. A relaxing vibe washes over and mixes with the heavy bass, creating a conflict of interest that pushes the tension higher – and holds until the last drop. Downtown Party Network’s remix operates on a smooth 4/4 groove, taking the wild bass, turning it down and letting it loose in the subterranean. The synth elements are used to great effect there, achieving quite a deep and dark atmosphere. LOPAZZ & Casio Casino take their sound and rework the original into a deep and heavy ‘Beatdown Remix’, favouring a funky vibe and thick bass, while still managing to keep a dark corner in the mix. The addition of a low vocal keeps the pressure on and the tension thick.

The two are no strangers, they’ve worked together on more than a few occasions, remixes & original productions. Their chemistry together glows brighter with every release, especially their latest effort ‘I Feel Love – Pt. 1’. The Original mix screams of late 80’s synth mom, blended with a disco nuance and a touch of modern Tech House. From the vocal hook to the sexy bass lines, the track pulls us to the dance floor with its vintage allure and modern appeal. Tuff City Kids, their name really says a lot about the style they are known for. Solid, in your face tracks that turn a dance floor into a pressure-cooker. Gerd Janson and Phillip Lauer deliver another hefty sound here, while leaving the hammers at home and bringing a thick bass instead. Thugfucker takes yet another direction, calming the track down and laying soothing percussion under the relaxing chord play. The bass creeps in and takes the track deeper while adding energy. Another fantastic addition to an already exceptional package! Get Physical knows Tomas Barfod all too well, we always enjoy having him as a guest in our catalogue. His remix takes the organic percussion and wraps it up in phenomenal style, taking us for a deep ride through his world. Which is always a nice place to visit.

Pier Bucci has a thick string of releases, spanning over 8 years. If one thing is certain, it’s that this guy knows what he’s doing. So when he came to us with a 2 track EP, featuring Agrenis Brito, we were thrilled. The first track, ‘Any Other’, opens with full energy percussion and rhythmic synth lines. Agrenis Brito’s vocal makes it’s entrance and the song gains groove, leading us into a hot summer mood you’d expect to find on an open air in Barcelona. Next we go a bit deeper into the night with ‘Over Again’. Very closely related to the first track, this one has a bit more relaxed late night feel to it. This belongs to the category of tracks that keep you up until the sun reclaims the sky.
