Pride Saraceni is known for his monstrous grooves, so this EP is definitely aptly titled, with the homonymous track boasting a hypnotic bassline running under the shuffling rhythm section, and persistent noise loops adding the momentum. A haunting vocal adds a touch of class and anticipation, while filtered chords are employed for that extra Techno edge. On “Domino Effects” things take a dubbier turn, with spacious fx setting the cavernous tone, reinforced greatly by the pitched-down, spoken word vocal. Familiar sonar stabs keep the train rolling, and the snappy drums balance out the thick, tense atmosphere.
