His international stature is well established and growing rapidly as a DJ, producer, promoter and label manager. He has represented Toronto at the Miami Winter Music Conference annually since 2004, played the legendary Detroit Movement Festival on the Torino Stage in 2010 and has made many well received appearances in the USA, Mexico, South America and Europe. He has also been producing for over a decade, combining analogue and digital equipment to compose banging yet soulful Detroit Techno. Morgan Pottruff has earned his living as a professional composer and sound designer in the gaming industry for many years, but always maintained his love for the underground through his collaborations with Greg Gow. He also teaches electronic music production at Metalworks which is not only Canada’s top audio school but the country’s most famous studio. Following his 2012 releases ‘Taken’ and ‘The Chant’ on 100%% Pure, we just had to invite Mario Ochoa back for some more. The Colombian DJ’s productions are as colourful and diverse as the country he originates from, with the global techno, house, tech house charts becoming his second home. It was in 2003 when he first started to bring the Latin American heat to the international club systems, his “Habla Con La Luna” becoming an Ibiza anthem the same year and licensed to over 90 mixes. Since then his sound has been travelling the global party hotspots and his releases have been regulars in the international charts, like “The Indian Express” from the “Taken” EP on 100%% Pure in 2012. Next up on the 100%% Pure digital series we welcome back EMMANUEL. Its no surprise that in 2007, at only 20 years, Emmanuel Beddewela already felt at home performing at the DJ decks in Japan, Spain and Italy. Born in Greece, with family roots in Sri Lanka and the Maldives, he then moved in his early years to Milan. His multicultural journey has been a rich source of inspiration, gaining him a passport to the global clubs. Emmanuel believes that “a true artist is the one who stands out from the crowd. He showed us his unique work with earlier releases on 100%% Pure: the Coffee Shop EP in January 2011 and Octopus EP in October of that year. Now he’s back and he has produced a hard pumpin EP, dark and heavy, but full of surprises.
